The County agrees to provide payment on a reimbursement basis to a maximum of three hundred dollars ($300) for the annual cost of dues, functions, events and activities sponsored by the professional societies and/or association which are work related and as one of their principal purposes is not the representation of individuals in matters concerning wages, hours or other terms and conditions of employment. The organizations which the employee wishes to join shall be selected by the employee. Reimbursement shall be subject to participation by the employee in said societies and/or associations and written approval of the department head or designated representative.
