When is an employee entitled to union representation at a meeting with his/her supervisor?

The “Weingarten” decision states that an employee is entitled to representation at any meeting where an investigatory interview is being conducted and where the employee might reasonably believe that the interview could lead to disciplinary action. The employee must request such representation – there is no obligation to advise the employee of this right. Please see Section 8F for more information on Weingarten rights.
